Connecting QuoteWerks to Neo

1. Create the API key

Open Zapier and API

Create a key

Click New, enter a description such as “Neo”, and click OK.

Allow writes, if Neo should create quotes

Open the key and turn on Allow write access. Without it Neo can read, and every create or update is refused by QuoteWerks.

Copy the key

Click the key in the list to copy it.

Do not delete the key in QuoteWerks after you connect it. Neo loses access until you save a new key here.

Save the key

Paste the API key and click Save. Neo checks it against QuoteWerks before saving, so a wrong key is rejected straight away.

3. Turn QuoteWerks on per agent

Open the agent, go to the Integrations section, and configure the QuoteWerks block. Pick a profile, or set each area yourself:

Area	Access levels you can pick	Notes
Quotes and Documents	Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write	Quotes, orders and invoices with their lines. This is the area a quoting agent needs. Documents carry your cost, profit and internal notes.
Products, Contacts and Other Tables	Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write	Every other table in your QuoteWerks database except the settings tables: products, contacts, purchase orders.
Reports and Account	Disabled, Read Only	Saved Management Reports, the list of tables, and the user the key belongs to.

Profile	What it does
Read Only	Reads everything and changes nothing
Helpdesk	Creates and updates quotes after a technician approves; other tables stay read-only
IT Admin	Creates and updates quotes on its own; writes to other tables ask a technician first
Full Automation	Every write runs on its own
