The two modes
Auto top-up and top-up packs are off in both modes, because credits past the plan are billed rather than bought in advance. The Phone Agent’s monthly base fee and the End-user bot add-on stay separate lines on your bill.
What counts as a billed credit
Billed credits for a month are:- the credits your agents and workflows spend,
- plus the credits your chat agents spend,
- plus your Phone Agent minutes, each worth the number of credits your agreement states (3 unless it says otherwise).
Your bill so far
The Usage billing or Overage billing card on the Billing page shows the month so far:- Usage billing: your billed credits and the estimated charge.
- Overage billing: your included credits, the credits you used, the credits above your allowance and the estimated overage charge.
The monthly cap
Your agreement can set a cap: the most billed credits you can use in one calendar month. When you have one, the card shows how far into it you are.- At 80% of the cap, the workspace admins get one email that month, and every dashboard page shows a banner you can dismiss.
- At 100% of the cap, new agent and workflow runs stop until the cap resets on the 1st of the next month at 00:00 UTC. The dashboard banner stays until then. A refused run shows: “Monthly credit cap reached. Your account has used its cap of N credits for this month, so new runs are paused until the cap resets.”
When the invoice comes
On the 1st of each month Neo sends one invoice for the month before, priced at the rate in force on each day of it. It is charged to the card on file.Changing your rate, allowance or cap
Your Neo account team sets the mode, the rate, the included credits and the cap. Contact them to change any of them. The dashboard and the Neo API can read these figures but not change them:GET /public-api/billing/metered returns the same numbers as the card.
