Neo Agent’s Announcements feature keeps you informed about important updates from the Neo Team. These notifications cover system outages, new features, scheduled maintenance, and general product updates that may affect your experience with Neo Agent. Announcements are automatically delivered through the Neo Agent dashboard and are also sent via email the Dashboard Users.

How You Receive Announcements

Dashboard Notifications

All active announcements appear directly in your Neo Agent dashboard, ensuring you see important updates during your regular workflow. These notifications remain visible until the Neo Team marks them as resolved or no longer relevant.

Email Notifications

Announcements are automatically sent to the Dashboard Users via email. This ensures your team stays informed even when not actively using the Neo Agent platform.

Product Spotlights

Alongside announcements, Neo occasionally highlights a major new feature with a Product Spotlight — a one-time modal that appears when you open the dashboard. It shows what shipped, a short description, and a screenshot, along with a Docs button linking to the feature’s documentation and, when relevant, an action button that takes you straight to the feature inside the dashboard. Each spotlight appears only once per user: once a spotlight has been shown to you, it never comes back — on any device. If several features shipped since your last visit, they appear together as a small carousel (newest first, each stamped with its release date) so you can page through everything you missed. There is nothing to configure and no subscription to manage; spotlights are reserved for significant releases.

Types of Announcements

The Neo Team sends different types of announcements based on the nature of the update:

General Outage

System-wide issues affecting all Neo Agent users and services. These are high-priority notifications about service disruptions that may impact your operations.

Partial Outage

Localized problems affecting specific features or client groups. These announcements help you understand if certain Neo Agent capabilities are temporarily unavailable.

New Feature

Product updates, enhancements, and new capabilities added to Neo Agent. These keep you informed about improvements and new tools available for your use.

Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance windows and system updates that may temporarily affect service availability or performance.

Managing Email Recipients

By default all Dashboard Users are subscribed to announcements. You can unsubscribe to email announcements in the Roles & Access section in Neo Agent’s Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) system. To manage announcement email subscriptions:
  1. Access RBAC: Navigate to the Role-Based Access Control section in your dashboard
  2. Select User: Choose the team member whose notification preferences you want to update
  3. Update Subscription: In actions menu you can Toggle their subscription to announcements on or off

The RBAC system allows you to manage announcement subscriptions alongside other user permissions, providing a centralized approach to user access and communication preferences.
Managing announcement subscriptions requires administrative privileges in the RBAC system. Contact your system administrator if you need to modify notification preferences.
