Neo Agent connects to Notion with an internal connection token. Once connected, Neo syncs the pages you share with the connection, up to 5,000 a run, into its documentation search once a day, so the Suggest Resolution action and the Find Documentation tool find the SOP that fits a ticket. Agents can also read and write your Notion workspace through the Notion API tool.

Connect Notion

1

Create an internal connection in Notion

You need to be a Workspace Owner.
  1. Open Notion’s Developer portal and select Internal connections.
  2. Click Create a new connection, name it (for example Neo), and choose your workspace.
  3. On the Configuration tab, copy the API token.
  4. Under Capabilities, keep Read content. Turn on Update content, Insert content and the comment capabilities only if you want agents to write to Notion.
2

Share your SOP pages with the connection

A new connection sees nothing until you share pages with it. On each top-level page that holds your SOPs, open the ••• menu, choose Connections, and add the connection. Its child pages and databases are shared with it too. You can also pick pages on the connection’s Content access tab in the Developer portal.Neo syncs only what you share, so leave out pages that agents should not read.
3

Add the integration in Neo

In the Neo Dashboard, open Integrations → the Directory tab → Documentation, click the Notion tile, and paste the API token.Neo checks the token against Notion before it saves it. If no page is shared with the connection yet, the save tells you so: share a page, then save again.
4

The first sync starts on its own

Saving the token switches the Notion sync on. The first run starts on Neo’s next scheduled sync check, and syncs then run daily. Once it finishes, your Notion pages are searchable through Find Documentation and reach the Suggest Resolution action next to every other documentation source you connected.

What gets synced

Each synced page carries a link back to Notion. Notion pages are your own workspace, not one client’s, so every page is available to every company’s tickets. A run reads at most 5,000 pages, and a page beyond that is not synced. While a workspace stays above that, Neo keeps the pages it synced earlier that a run did not reach, so a page you unshare there can stay in Neo’s search until a run reaches it again; disconnecting Notion removes every synced page. Notion allows 180 API requests a minute on most plans, so a very large workspace takes a while on its first sync; later runs re-index only the pages that changed.

Disconnect Notion

Open the Notion tile and choose Disconnect. Neo deletes the token, stops the sync and removes the synced Notion pages from its search, since nothing would keep them current. Your Notion workspace is not touched. To get the pages back, connect Notion again and the next sync indexes them.

Troubleshooting

Share the pages with the connection: ••• → Connections on each top-level page. A page you share appears in the next daily sync.
The token was refreshed or the connection was deleted in the Developer portal. Copy the current token from the connection’s Configuration tab and paste it on the Notion tile.
Turn on Read content under Capabilities on the connection’s Configuration tab. Notion gives the same answer when the workspace is over its plan’s block limit.
