Disconnecting a documentation platform

Open Integrations → Documents, find the platform’s card, and select Remove. This covers IT Glue, Hudu, and Lexful. Confluence and SharePoint disconnect from their own cards — see their pages. Removing a platform deletes the API credentials you gave Neo and stops all future syncing. The tile returns to Not connected, and agents can no longer reach the platform’s API.

Choose what happens to the documents Neo already synced

The documents Neo indexed while the platform was connected do not disappear on their own. Agents can still search and cite them after the platform is disconnected, because the search index is separate from the live connection. So the confirmation dialog shows how many documents Neo holds from that platform and asks what to do with them:

Keep them

The default. Agents keep searching and citing the documents Neo already has. Choose this when you are rotating an API key, moving to a new instance of the same platform, or reconnecting shortly.

Delete them

Every document Neo synced from that platform is removed from the search index. Choose this when you have stopped using the platform, or when the content must no longer influence agent answers.
Deleting the documents cannot be undone from the dashboard. Neo removes its own copy only — nothing in IT Glue, Hudu, or Lexful is touched. To get them back, reconnect the platform and run a full sync.
For IT Glue, the count covers every generation Neo has stored for you — the older ZIP export as well as the API sync. The dialog lists the split when there is more than one, so you can see exactly what deleting would remove.
Deleting runs in the background. Large libraries take a few minutes, and the document count on the Documents tab falls as it progresses. The disconnect itself is already complete before this starts, so you can close the dialog and carry on. If the deletion cannot start, Neo says so and leaves the documents in place. The platform stays disconnected — select Remove again to retry the deletion.

Documentation storage allowance

Every documentation platform you connect writes into one search index, and your plan includes an allowance for it. Each documentation card on Integrations shows a Documentation storage row: how much of the allowance is used, as gigabytes and a percentage, with a split by platform underneath. The figure is the same on every card because the allowance is shared. The gigabytes are the size of Neo’s search index for your documentation, which is a different measurement from the size of your own libraries. Neo skips file types it cannot read, so a library of large files indexes smaller than it is; a set of short records indexes larger, because each one carries its search data. Every paid plan includes an allowance. A workspace without a paid plan shows usage without a percentage.

When the allowance is used up

The row turns red and says so. Documents already synced keep updating and deleting as before. If Neo has started holding back new documents on your plan, the row says that too, and the sync status on the card names how many were held back in the last sync. A sync already running finishes what it has started, so usage can end above the allowance before new documents stop. To get back under the allowance, remove content from a sync. On SharePoint, leave folders out of the library selection. On the other platforms, reduce what the connected account can see, or talk to us about a larger allowance.
