The Send Slack Message tool lets Neo Agent post a notification to one of your Slack channels, using the same Neo Slack app your workflows already use. Neo posts through the tenant’s Slack bot token, so the message shows the standard notification header and a link to the related ticket.

What It Does

When enabled, the agent can:
  • Post to a Slack channel the Neo Slack bot has been added to
  • Notify your team about urgent issues or share ticket updates
This is a one-way notification. Replies in Slack do not come back to the agent and do not resume the run. To ask the ticket contact something, use the client-facing ticket note; for a technician decision, use technician approval.
Setup Required: Follow the Slack integration guide to create the Neo Slack app, add it to a channel, and share the bot token with your Neo administrator.

Choosing the channels the agent can post to

List the Slack channel IDs Neo may post to. Neo can post only to the channels you list, and the list must hold at least one channel. If the agent asks for a channel that is not on the list, the tool returns an error and the agent can retry with an allowed channel. To find a channel ID:
  1. Open the channel in Slack.
  2. Choose View channel details.
  3. Copy the Channel ID at the bottom of the About tab. It looks like C1234567890.
Add the Neo Slack bot to every channel you list, or the post fails.
