Switch this tool on in the agent’s tool list. It reads only the script library Neo syncs from your RMM, so it needs no RMM permission. On an RMM that Execute RMM Script supports, turning on script execution on the Integrations tab also gives the agent this tool.

What It Does

  • Search your RMM’s script library by name, or by a description of what the script should do
  • Search the whole library, or only the scripts for one device
  • Return each script’s name, description and variables, so the agent can say which script fits the ticket
The tool never runs a script. Use it for agents that recommend a fix to a technician, or that report which scripts exist, without the right to run them.

Good to Know

  • Your RMM must have a script catalog. Neo syncs scripts from NinjaOne, Datto RMM, N-Sight, ConnectWise Automate, ConnectWise Asio, N-Central and Kaseya VSA X. ConnectWise ScreenConnect and Syncro publish no script catalog, so the search finds nothing there.
  • No match is not proof. A script added in the RMM since the last sync is not in the search yet. The agent tells you which search it tried and what to try next.
  • The result is the catalog record. It holds the script’s name, description and variables, but not its source code. Before it runs a script, an agent with script execution tries to read the source through your RMM. If your RMM offers no way to read it, or the agent lacks that permission, the agent says so in its approval request and asks a technician to check the script in the RMM console first.
