1. Create an API credential
1
Open API Access
Sign in to the Uniview portal, click the settings icon, and open API Access.
2
Create the credential
Click + New, give the credential a name such as βNeoβ, and click Save. Copy the Client ID and the Client Secret. The secret is shown only once.
2. Add the credential in Neo
1
Open Integrations
In the Neo Dashboard, open Integrations and find the Uniview Backup card, under Backup & Recovery.
2
Save the credential
Paste the Client ID and the Client Secret and click Save. Neo checks them against Uniview before saving, so a wrong or deleted credential is rejected straight away. The Organization Mapping tab fills separately after the save, and again on each nightly PSA sync.
3. Turn Uniview on per agent
Open the agent, go to the Integrations section, and configure the Uniview block. The Read Only profile turns on every area. To leave an area out, set it to Disabled:Example: close backup alerts that have recovered
Give an agent that runs on your backup-alert tickets the Uniview Read Only profile and instructions like these:For a backup-failure ticket, look up the device in Uniview. If it has a successful backup later than the alert, add a note with the backup time and close the ticket. If the device was offline, note when it was last online and leave the ticket open. Otherwise, assign the ticket to the backup queue with what you found.See Uniview API for what the agent can read.
