3CX is the phone system many of your clients run, each on its own PBX. Connect 3CX for those clients, and Neo agents add a new starter’s user and extension, remove a leaver’s, and read the client’s departments, queues, desk phones and call history when they work a phone ticket.

What Neo can do with 3CX

  • Create a new starter’s user with the next free extension in the right department, and send their 3CX welcome email
  • Find a leaver by email, and disable or delete their extension, as your instructions say
  • Add a new starter to a queue or a ring group
  • Read why a desk phone is not registered, and reboot or reprovision it
  • Read the call history, queues and trunks when a client reports a calling problem
With the matching permission groups on, agents can also work with roles, call routing, contacts, live calls, recordings, trunks, integrations and system settings. See 3CX API for the permission groups and profiles.

One connection per client

Each client’s PBX has its own address and its own API client, so you connect 3CX once for each client that uses it, and the connection belongs to that client’s company in Neo. On a ticket that belongs to a company, the agent reaches only that company’s PBX. Otherwise (a chat, a scheduled agent, or a ticket with no company) it names the client it works for, and Neo accepts only a company on your Companies tab.
