1. Make the API key
In the SIGNL4 web portal, open Integrations > API Keys (some SIGNL4 guides show it under Teams > Developer > API Keys) and create a key for Neo. Copy it when SIGNL4 shows it. Neo calls SIGNL4 with the key in theX-S4-Api-Key header. The key is not your team’s webhook secret: Neo never needs the webhook URL.
2. Add the key in Neo
1
Open Integrations
In the Neo Dashboard, open Integrations and find the SIGNL4 card, under Communication.
2
Save the key
Paste the API key and click Save settings. Neo checks it against SIGNL4 before saving, so a wrong or revoked key is rejected straight away.
3. Turn SIGNL4 on per agent
Open the agent, go to the Integrations section, and pick an access profile for the SIGNL4 block, or set each area yourself:
The agents also need their PSA permissions: adding internal notes on tickets, and reading the ticket’s notes for the response times. See SIGNL4 API for the profiles and what the agent can read and change.
