You connect Strety once at the MSP level, with your own Strety app.

Before you start

  • Neo acts as the Strety user who authorizes the app, with that user’s role and the spaces they can see. Authorize it as an admin or account owner, so Neo sees every Team’s Goals. Many MSPs authorize it as a user named for Neo.
  • Every To-Do, Issue and check-in Neo writes shows that user as its author.

1. Create the app in Strety

In Strety, open My Integrations → My Apps and create an app named Neo:
  • Redirect URI: https://localhost/callback, exactly.
  • Scopes: tick read and write. Tick only read when Neo should change nothing in Strety.
Copy the Client ID and the Client Secret.

2. Authorize the app

Open this address in the browser where you are signed in to Strety, with your Client ID in place of <Client ID>:
Click Authorize. Your browser then opens a page that does not load. That is expected: copy the whole address from the address bar. It starts with https://localhost/callback?code=. The code in it works once and expires after ten minutes, so do the next step straight away.

3. Save it in Neo

1

Open Integrations

In the Neo Dashboard, open Integrations and find the Strety card, under Project Management.
2

Save the app and the authorization

Enter the Client ID and the Client Secret, paste the address you copied into Authorization, and click Save settings. Neo turns the code into a token before saving, so a wrong secret or an expired code is rejected straight away.
Neo keeps the connection alive from then on. Strety issues a new token each time Neo renews it, so the authorization works for Neo alone: never paste it into another program. If you delete the app, change its Client Secret, or revoke Neo’s access in Strety, Neo stops reaching Strety and sends you a message in the dashboard. Authorize the app again (step 2) and save the new address.

4. Turn Strety on per agent

Open the agent, go to the Integrations section, and pick an access profile for the Strety block, or set each area yourself: See Strety API for the profiles and what the agent can read and change.
