You connect Password Link once at the MSP level, with the private API key of the Password Link user Neo creates links as.

1. Copy the private API key

1

Open the API keys page

Sign in to Password Link as the user whose plan and settings Neo should use, and open the API keys page from the menu.
2

Copy the private key

Copy the private API key. The public key cannot create or list links, and Neo refuses it.
If your team’s admin turned on Disable API keys for users under Team > Manage team > Settings, the admin makes the key, or turns that setting off first. Each link Neo creates counts toward that user’s monthly secrets on their plan. Attachments need a paid plan.
1

Open Integrations

Open Integrations → Password Link in the Neo Dashboard. The card is under Security.
2

Save the connection

Paste the Private API Key and click Save. Neo checks the key with Password Link before it saves, so a wrong key is rejected straight away.
Open the agent that resets passwords or sets up new users from Agents, go to the Integrations section, and configure the Password Link block. To send links, set Secrets & Folders to Read / Write. To ask end users for secrets too, set Secret Requests to Read / Write. The Helpdesk profile sends links on its own and asks a technician before each secret request. Then say in the agent’s instructions how links go out, for example “Send the new password as a Password Link to the ticket’s contact, by email, valid for 72 hours and one view”. The agent puts the password only in the link. See Password Link API for what each profile does.
