Nextiva Voice (NextOS) is a cloud phone system with call centers: agents sign in, join queues and take the calls that wait there. Connect Nextiva, and Neo agents can read each call center’s queue and agents, and sign out agents who left.

What Neo can do with Nextiva

  • Read the calls waiting in each call center, how long the oldest has waited, and each agent’s state: signed in, available, unavailable, wrap-up or signed out
  • Sign an agent out of every call center, take them out of one, or set them available or unavailable. A scheduled agent can sign out agents still signed in after hours, so calls stop ringing them
  • Read a user’s placed, received and missed calls for a period, with times and numbers, for call tracking
  • Read and change a user’s call settings, such as forwarding and do not disturb, and work their voicemail
  • Read users, their registrations and the group directory
The XSI specification Neo was built from has no endpoint for the history of agent sign-ins or for call center statistics such as service level or abandoned calls. Nextiva shows those in the Supervisor Dashboard’s reports in NextOS (Call Center Report, Agent Sign In/Out Report), which a supervisor can schedule by email. The agent says so and gives the current state instead. Neo works with Nextiva Voice (NextOS) through its BroadWorks API (XSI). It does not connect Nextiva Contact Center. See Nextiva API for the permission groups.
