1. Get the API credentials from CentralReach
1
Ask CentralReach for API access
The CentralReach Implementations team issues API credentials for each organization. Ask the practice’s CentralReach representative for API access for the organization, on behalf of the practice.
2
Give the API user the permissions it needs
CentralReach API calls run as an API user, with that user’s CentralReach permissions. Every connection needs permission to read employee contacts: Neo checks the credentials with that read when you save them. For onboarding and offboarding, the API user also needs to edit employee contacts. Add permissions for labels, tasks, schedules or other areas you want agents to use.
3
Copy the three values
You receive the API Key, the Client ID and the Client Secret. Keep them for the next step.
2. Add the credentials in Neo
1
Open Integrations
In the Neo Dashboard, open Integrations → CentralReach, under Other.
2
Pick the client
In Customer, choose the client this CentralReach organization belongs to. The client must be on your Companies tab. For a second client, click Add customer.
3
Save the credentials
Paste the API Key, the Client ID and the Client Secret, and click Save settings. Neo checks them against CentralReach before saving, so a wrong value is rejected straight away.
3. Turn CentralReach on per agent
1
Open the agent's integrations
Open the agent in the Neo Dashboard and go to its Integrations tab.
2
Pick an access profile
Under CentralReach, pick an access profile, or set each permission group by hand.
Read Only, Helpdesk and IT Admin turn on Employees alone. Every other group can reach patient health information or staff pay, because labels, custom fields and tasks take any contact, a client’s included. Turn a group on only for an agent that needs it, such as Contact Labels & Custom Fields to set a new hire’s labels.
