# WorkTime

> Report your technicians' time online and productive time from WorkTime, and post a league table of the team

WorkTime is employee monitoring: an app on each computer records active, idle, productive and unproductive time, and WorkTime reports it by employee and department. Connect your own WorkTime account once with an API key, and Neo agents can read that time and report on it.

## What Neo can do with WorkTime

* Answer how long a technician was online on a day or in a week
* Post a league table that ranks your technicians by time online, with productive time and days off beside it
* Point out days with long active time and almost no idle time, for a person to check in WorkTime's own reports
* Record time off and keep departments and holiday sets up to date, with the approvals your access profile sets

## A weekly league table

Create a scheduled agent that runs on Monday morning, give it read access to Active & Productive Time, Employees and Time Off, and tell it where to post, for example a Teams channel. Each run reads the last working week and posts a table like this:

```
Time online, Mon 19 Oct to Fri 23 Oct
1. Sam Lee     38h 12m   productive 31h 05m
2. Alex Kim    36h 40m   productive 30h 10m
3. Jo Patel    29h 15m   productive 24h 02m   1 day off
```

Tell the agent in its instructions which technicians to leave out, such as managers, and whether to add productive time.

See [WorkTime API](/agents/tools/management/worktime-api.md) for the permission groups.
