# Connecting WorkTime to Neo

> Make a WorkTime API key and save it in Neo

You connect WorkTime once at the MSP level, with one API key for your WorkTime account.

## 1. Make the API key

In WorkTime, open **Settings > Integrations > API access** and create a key for Neo. Copy it when WorkTime shows it. Keep the key out of email and chat: anyone who has it can read your team's monitoring data.

Neo calls WorkTime at `https://api.worktime.com` with the key as a bearer token.

## 2. Add the key in Neo

**1. Open Integrations**

In the Neo Dashboard, open **Integrations** and find the WorkTime card, under HR & Business Apps.

**2. Save the key**

Paste the API key and click **Save settings**. Neo checks it against WorkTime before saving, so a wrong or revoked key is rejected straight away.

## 3. Turn WorkTime on per agent

Open the agent, go to the Integrations section, and pick an access profile for the WorkTime block, or set each area yourself:

| Area | Access levels you can pick | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Active & Productive Time** | Disabled, Read Only | Time online, idle and productive time per employee and day. The league table needs it. |
| **Employees** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Names and departments for the report. Holds each employee's contact details and salary as WorkTime stores them. |
| **Departments** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Department names and managers. |
| **Time Off** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Days off, so a holiday does not read as a short week. |
| **Holiday Sets** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Public holidays per department. |

See [WorkTime API](/agents/tools/management/worktime-api.md) for the profiles and what the agent can read and change.
