# Overview

> What the Uniview Backup integration brings to your Neo Agent setup

Uniview is the backup portal at backup.net for Unitrends appliances, Kaseya endpoint backup and Spanning Microsoft 365 backup. Its most common ticket is a backup-failure alert. Connect Uniview to Neo and your agents can check each alert against the portal: close the ticket when the device has backed up since, and tell a technician when it has not, and why.

<Info>
  Uniview uses one API credential per MSP. Connect it once and every agent you enable can use it, with permissions you control per agent.

## What Neo can do with Uniview

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Backups" icon="hard-drive">
    Find a device by name and read its last successful backup, its online status and its recent backup jobs. Check appliances for free space and online status.
  </Card>

  <Card title="BackupIQ Alerts" icon="bell">
    List BackupIQ alerts for a client or a device, with severity and whether they were dismissed.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Microsoft 365 Backup" icon="cloud">
    Read the last Microsoft 365 backup of a tenant, or of one user's mail, drive, contacts and calendar.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Customers" icon="building">
    Find the client in your portal by name, so an agent can list its devices.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

Neo only reads from Uniview. It cannot start, retry or dismiss a backup.

## Your clients are mapped automatically

Neo matches your Uniview customers to the companies in your PSA and keeps the mapping on the Uniview card's **Organization Mapping** tab, refreshed on each PSA metadata sync.

Matching starts with the Microsoft 365 tenant: a customer whose Microsoft 365 backup protects the same tenant Neo has on a company is an exact match. Then comes the name: exact, then after stripping a legal-form suffix (Ltd, Inc, LLC). Last comes an AI match for the long tail.

**A tenant match, a name match, or one you confirm, is handed straight to your agents**, so they look up a device within the right customer. An AI match is not handed to your agents automatically. It shows on the Organization Mapping tab, where you can confirm or correct it.

Anything Neo could not match stays unmapped and visible on the same tab, where you can set the right company by hand. A mapping you set by hand survives every later sync.
