# Connecting Telavox to Neo

> Make an API token in the Telavox or Voxone app as an administrator, add a Statistics Token for queue statistics, then save both in Neo with your portal

Neo acts as one Telavox user, with a token that user makes. Neo can do what that user can do.

## 1. Choose the user Neo acts as

Use an administrator, so Neo can read every user, queue and number. For call statistics on a dashboard:

* The user needs the right to monitor every user's recordings, because Neo counts each user's calls from their recorded calls.
* Neo reads missed calls from this user's own call history only. Use the user who answers your main number, or a user your main number rings.

## 2. Make the token

**1. Sign in as that user**

Open the Telavox web or desktop app. For Voxone, sign in at portal.voxone.co.uk.

**2. Create a token**

Open **My Account**, then **Username and Password**, then **Manage tokens**, and create a token. Copy it: it shows once.

The token keeps working when the user changes their password. You revoke it on the same **Manage tokens** screen.

## 3. Add the token in Neo

**1. Open Integrations**

In the Neo Dashboard, open **Integrations** and find the Telavox card, under Phone & VoIP. Searching for Voxone finds it too.

**2. Save the token**

Choose the **Portal** your users sign in to: **Voxone by Voip Unlimited** or **Telavox**. Paste the token and click **Save settings**. Neo reads the user's own profiles before it saves, so a wrong token or the wrong portal is refused straight away. For queue statistics, also add a Statistics Token (step 6).

> [!WARNING]
>
> If the token is revoked or the user is removed, Neo loses access until you save a new token here.

## 4. Turn Telavox on per agent

Open the agent, go to its **Tools & Settings** tab, click **Phone & VoIP**, and expand the **Telavox** block. Pick one of its **Presets**, or set each area yourself. Queue statistics are in the **Call Statistics** area, which every preset can read.

| Preset | What runs on its own | What asks a technician |
| - | - | - |
| **Read Only** | Every read | No write is allowed |
| **Helpdesk** | Every read | Every change, call and text. User rights, licences and numbers stay read only |
| **IT Admin** | Every read, and changes to users, queues, profiles, contacts, desk phones and templates | User rights, licence purchases, calls and texts, recordings, numbers and porting |
| **Full Automation** | Every read and write | Changing every user's contact at once, deleting a contact field, resetting a user's profiles, a desk phone's factory reset, and three updates that may clear fields |

## 5. A phone dashboard

Ask Neo Support for a dashboard of your phone statistics, such as "Build a dashboard of calls per user this month, my missed calls, and who waits in each queue now, from Telavox", or "Add the Mainline queue's calls received and missed today, this week and last week, in Europe/London, to my Telavox dashboard". Neo grants the dashboard read access only.

## 6. Add a Statistics Token, for queue statistics

Queue totals over a period (calls received, answered and missed per day or week) and each user's unanswered calls come from Telavox's Studio API, which takes its own token. Skip this step if you do not need them.

**1. Check that your account has Studio API**

Studio API is part of Telavox's statistics product. If you do not see **Create new Statistics Token** in the next step, ask Telavox, or Voip Unlimited for Voxone, to turn on Studio API for your account.

**2. Track the users who answer your queues**

Telavox counts a user's calls in its statistics only when the user has the **Stats Tracked User** feature. Ask your Telavox administrator, or Voip Unlimited, to turn it on for each user who answers a queue.

**3. Create the Statistics Token**

In the Telavox web app, open **Settings**, then **My Account**, then **Username and password**. Under **Integration**, click **Manage Token**, then **Create new Statistics Token**. Copy it: it shows once.

**4. Save it in Neo**

On the Telavox card in **Integrations**, paste it in **Statistics Token** and click **Save settings**. Neo runs one small statistics query with it before it saves, so a token Telavox refuses is not saved.

## Limits

Telavox publishes no rate limit. Neo keeps to 120 calls a minute and waits when Telavox asks it to. A dashboard reads two calls per user for the team's live status, so with more than 40 users, show fewer users there.
