# Connecting Sophos to Neo

> Create a Sophos Central API credential and save it in Neo

You connect Sophos once at the MSP level, with the client ID and client secret of a Sophos Central API credential.

## 1. Create an API credential in Sophos Central

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your partner account">
    Sign in to [Sophos Central Partner](https://central.sophos.com/manage/partner) as an administrator. Use your partner account, not a customer's tenant.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add a credential">
    Click **Settings & Policies**, then **API Credentials**. Give the credential a name, such as `Neo`, and a description, then click **Add**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the client ID and secret">
    Copy the **client ID**. Click to show the **client secret** and copy it too. Sophos shows the secret only now, so keep it until you save it in Neo.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  An organization or a single tenant can also connect: create the credential under **Settings & Policies** (organization) or **Global Settings** (tenant) at [central.sophos.com/manage](https://central.sophos.com/manage). Neo then reaches only that organization's tenants, or that one tenant.
</Note>

<Warning>
  Do not delete the credential in Sophos Central after you connect. Neo loses access until you save a new client ID and secret here.
</Warning>

## 2. Add the credential in Neo

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Integrations">
    In the Neo Dashboard, open [**Integrations** → **Sophos**](https://dashboard.neoagent.io/integrations?open=sophos), under Security.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the credential">
    Paste the client ID and the client secret, and click **Save settings**. Neo checks them against Sophos Central before saving, so a wrong value is rejected straight away.
  </Step>
</Steps>
