# Connecting SkySwitch to Neo

> Get Telco API and PBX API credentials from SkySwitch and save them in Neo

You connect SkySwitch once at the MSP level. One connection covers every client domain under your SkySwitch reseller account, through both of SkySwitch's APIs.

## 1. Get the credentials from SkySwitch

SkySwitch has two APIs, and each has its own sign-in:

| API | What Neo uses it for | What you need |
| - | - | - |
| **Telco API** | Phone numbers, number purchases, voice routes, E911, messaging, porting and entitlements | A client id and secret from SkySwitch's Control Tower, and the username and password of a Telco portal user |
| **PBX API** | Users and extensions, devices and phones, answer rules, call queues, voicemail and call records | A client id and secret from SkySwitch support, and the login and password of a PBX subscriber with **Reseller** scope |

Make a Telco portal user and a PBX subscriber for Neo, so you can change or remove Neo's access without touching a person's login:

* Give the Telco portal user the roles for the work Neo does, such as Phone Number Manager, Routing Manager and E911 Manager for onboarding.
* Give the PBX subscriber Reseller scope, so it reaches every client domain. Leave multi-factor sign-in off for it: an API sign-in cannot answer the code, and Neo refuses to save a subscriber that has it.

You also need your **reseller id**: the number in your Manager portal address, such as `12345` in `https://12345-hpbx.dashmanager.com`.

## 2. Add the credentials in Neo

**1. Open Integrations**

In the Neo Dashboard, open **Integrations** and find the SkySwitch card, under Phone & VoIP.

**2. Save the credentials**

Enter the reseller id and the eight values from step 1, then click **Save settings**. Neo signs in to both APIs before saving, so a wrong value, a PBX subscriber without Reseller scope, or one with multi-factor sign-in is rejected straight away with what to fix.

## 3. Turn SkySwitch on per agent

Open the agent, go to the Integrations section, and pick an access profile for the SkySwitch block, or set each area yourself:

| Area | Access levels you can pick | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Users and Extensions** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | PBX users (extensions). Turn on for onboarding and offboarding. |
| **Devices and Phones** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Devices, desk phones, phone models, fax ATAs. |
| **Phone Numbers** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | The number inventory and catalog, buying and disconnecting numbers, the DID table. |
| **Call Routing** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Where each number rings, answer rules, time frames, conferences, SIP trunks. |
| **Call Queues and Agents** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Queues and their agents. |
| **Live Calls** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Active calls and call control. |
| **Call History** | Disabled, Read Only | Call records. |
| **Voicemail and Recordings** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Voicemail, greetings, recordings and the recording setting. |
| **Emergency Addresses (E911)** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Each number's E911 address. Turn on for onboarding. |
| **SMS and Messaging** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | SMS and MMS on numbers, messaging and its registrations. |
| **Number Porting** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Port-in orders. |
| **Customer Domains and Accounts** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Client domains and their seat limits, accounts and companies. Turn on for seat reports. |
| **Entitlements, Settings and Reports** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Plans of companies and users, UC settings, reports. |
| **Portal Users** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Users of your SkySwitch portal. |
| **Portal Roles** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Portal user roles, and giving a PBX user an administrator scope. |
| **Reseller Administration** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Carriers, branding, event subscriptions, audit logs. |

The roles of the Telco portal user limit what Neo can do, whatever the profile says. See [SkySwitch API](https://docs.neoagent.io/agents/tools/communication/skyswitch-api.md) for the profiles and the safety controls.
