# Neo browser extension

> Who can sign in to the Chrome and Edge extension, and how an admin turns it off for the workspace

The Neo browser extension for Chrome and Edge opens the Neo panel in the browser's side panel, beside the ConnectWise PSA or Autotask page you have open. It follows the ticket you open, and it shows Approvals and Neo chat when no ticket is open.

## Who can use it

* A technician signs in with their Microsoft account. They need a Neo user in your workspace.
* They get the same rights as on the Neo dashboard. A Chat only user runs no agents.
* The panel shows the ticket only to an admin, or to a user whose [AI chat data access](https://docs.neoagent.io/product/rbac.md#ai-chat-data-access) includes your PSA. Anyone else gets Approvals and Neo chat, with no ticket.
* [Live chat](https://docs.neoagent.io/integrations/psa/neo-panel/live-chat.md) in the extension needs a User or Admin role, the user's Microsoft account linked to their technician on the [Technicians](https://dashboard.neoagent.io/profiles) page, and your PSA in their AI chat data access.

## Turn the extension on or off

The extension is on for every workspace by default.

**1. Open the Neo panel tab**

Open [**Integrations** → **ConnectWise** → **Neo in ConnectWise**](https://dashboard.neoagent.io/integrations?open=connectwise\&view=neo-panel), or [**Integrations** → **Autotask** → **Neo in Autotask**](https://dashboard.neoagent.io/integrations?open=autotask\&view=neo-panel).

**2. Use the Neo browser extension switch**

Below the setup steps, turn **Neo browser extension** off or on. Only admins can change it.

When it is off, Neo refuses every sign-in to your workspace from the extension, and the extension shows that an admin turned it off. A panel that is already open keeps working for at most 30 minutes.
