# LogicMonitor

> Let Neo agents work LogicMonitor alert tickets against the alert and the resource's data, acknowledge alerts, schedule downtime and tune alerting

LogicMonitor is SaaS infrastructure monitoring: collectors at each client poll servers, network devices, hypervisors and cloud resources, and LogicMonitor raises an alert when a value passes its threshold. Connect LogicMonitor, and Neo agents can work the alert tickets it opens in your PSA, mute resources for planned work, and tune the alerts that make noise.

## What Neo can do with LogicMonitor

* Match an alert ticket to its LogicMonitor alert, read the value against the threshold, whether it cleared, and the resource's recent data, and note what it found
* Tell a resource that is down from a collector that stopped reporting
* Acknowledge an alert with the ticket number, or add a note to it
* Schedule downtime on a resource, resource group, DataSource, website or collector for a maintenance window, and end it
* Turn alerting off on one resource or group, and raise a threshold on one instance, resource or group
* Read alert rules, escalation chains and what LogicMonitor sent to your PSA
* Restart a collector, run a diagnostic, and read dashboards, reports, logs, users and the audit log

## How your clients are found

LogicMonitor has no customer list of its own: you group each client's resources in a resource group, often under a parent group such as "Customers". Neo does not map these groups to your PSA companies. An agent finds the client's group by name, and works on the resources inside it. When two groups could be the client, the agent asks a technician.

See [LogicMonitor API](https://docs.neoagent.io/agents/tools/networking/logicmonitor-api.md) for the permission groups.
