# Connecting Exclaimer to Neo

> Get your Exclaimer Cloud API token and save it in Neo

You connect Exclaimer once at the MSP level. One API token from Exclaimer covers every client subscription in your partner account.

## 1. Get the API token

**1. Ask Exclaimer for the token**

Exclaimer issues the Exclaimer Cloud API token to its partners. Ask your Exclaimer partner contact or account manager for an API token for your partner account.

**2. Note its environment**

Exclaimer runs a Live environment for your real subscriptions and a Sandbox for testing. Note which one your token is for.

> [!WARNING]
>
> When Exclaimer revokes or replaces the token, Neo loses access until you save the new token here.

## 2. Add the token in Neo

**1. Open Integrations**

In the Neo Dashboard, open **Integrations** and find the Exclaimer card, under Identity & Workspace.

**2. Save the token**

Pick the environment (**Live**, or **Sandbox** for a test token), paste the API token and click **Save settings**. Neo checks it against Exclaimer before saving, so a wrong token, or a token for the other environment, is rejected straight away.

**3. Check the mapping**

Open the card's **Organization Mapping** tab and confirm each client's subscription, or set it by hand. On a ticket, Neo works only with the subscription mapped to the ticket's company.

## 3. Turn Exclaimer on per agent

Open the agent, go to its **Tools & Settings** tab, click **Identity & Workspace**, and expand the **Exclaimer** block. Pick a preset, or set each area yourself:

| Preset | What runs |
| - | - |
| **Read Only** | Reads subscriptions, mailbox counts, client and reseller records and portal users |
| **Helpdesk** | Reads everything; a technician approves each subscription change and each portal user change. No transfers |
| **IT Admin** | Creates and changes subscriptions and mailbox counts, and manages Editor users, on its own; a technician approves an Admin grant and a transfer |
| **Full Automation** | Everything, without approval |

| Area | Access levels you can pick | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Subscriptions** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Read / Write creates subscriptions and changes the mailbox count, tier, SKU, name and status. |
| **End Users & Resellers** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Your own client and reseller records in Exclaimer. |
| **Portal Users** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Read / Write adds Editors and removes users. |
| **Portal Admins** | Disabled, Read / Write | Giving a user the Admin role, and changing the subscription's owner. |
| **Subscription Transfers** | Disabled, Read / Write | Moving a subscription to or from another Exclaimer partner. |
