# Connecting Elevate to Neo

> Request Elevate Partner API access, save the Client ID and Client Secret in Neo, and check the customer mapping

You connect your Elevate partner account once. Neo then reaches every customer account you manage in Elevate.

## 1. Request Partner API access

**1. Open the Partner Portal**

In the Elevate Partner Portal, go to **Integrations > Public API** and select **Get access to Partner API**.

**2. Choose the contact**

Choose the partner contact who gets the access, and select **Send request**. Choose a contact with the **Private label owner** role: only that role has full access through the API, and other contacts reach only what their role allows.

**3. Get the credentials**

Elevate contacts you with the **Client ID** and **Client Secret** of your Partner API client.

## 2. Add the client in Neo

**1. Open Integrations**

In the Neo Dashboard, open **Integrations** and find the Elevate card, under Phone & VoIP.

**2. Save the client**

Enter the Client ID and the Client Secret, and click **Save settings**. Neo gets a token and reads your customer accounts before saving, so a wrong secret, or a contact whose role cannot list accounts, is rejected straight away.

> [!WARNING]
>
> If Elevate changes or removes the API client, Neo loses access until you save the new Client ID and Secret here.

## 3. Check the customer mapping

Neo matches each Elevate customer account to a company in your PSA by name, after you save and again with each PSA sync. Open the Elevate card's **Organization Mapping** tab to correct a match or ignore an account. An agent working a ticket then goes straight to that customer's account.

## 4. Turn Elevate on per agent

Open the agent, go to its **Tools & Settings** tab, click **Phone & VoIP**, and expand the **Elevate** block. Pick one of its **Presets**, or set each area yourself:

| Area | Access levels you can pick | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Customer Accounts** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Accounts, company details, state and MSA. Deleting an account always asks a technician. |
| **Users** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Creating, updating and deleting users. |
| **Voice Service and Locations** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Turning a user's Voice Service on or off, free extensions, and locations. |
| **Phone Numbers** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | The account's numbers and free pool, trunks, imports and releases. |
| **Voice Devices** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Desk phones and other devices. |
| **Licenses and Products** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Buying and cancelling licences. A purchase is charged to the account. |
| **Partner Contacts** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Who can sign in to an account's Control Panel, and their roles. |
| **Payment Method and Usage** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | The payment method type and the usage report. |

| Preset | What runs on its own | What asks a technician |
| - | - | - |
| **Read Only** | Every read | No write is allowed |
| **Helpdesk** | Every read | Every write |
| **IT Admin** | Every read, and users, Voice Service, numbers and devices | Accounts, contacts, licences and payment method |
| **Full Automation** | Every read and every write | Deleting a customer account |

For onboarding and offboarding on their own, use **IT Admin**. Ask your Neo Support Agent to add the Elevate steps to your onboarding and offboarding agents.

See [Elevate API](/agents/tools/communication/elevate-api.md) for what the agent can read and change.
