# Connecting Call Harbor to Neo

> Get a NetSapiens API key from Call Harbor and save it in Neo

You connect Call Harbor once at the MSP level. One API key with Reseller scope covers every client domain under your Call Harbor account.

## 1. Get the API key

Call Harbor runs on NetSapiens, and its API keys are NetSapiens keys. Ask Call Harbor support for an API key for Neo with these settings:

| Setting | Value |
| - | - |
| **Scope** | Reseller, for every client domain (the key starts with `nsr_`). For one domain only, Office Manager (`nsd_`) |
| **Read only** | Yes, when Neo only builds dashboards and reports. No, when agents should make changes |
| **IP addresses** | Leave open, or add Neo's addresses from [IP whitelisting](/integrations/ip-whitelisting) |

Call Harbor shows the key only once. Neo does not accept a Super User key (`nss_`), which reaches every customer on Call Harbor's platform.

## 2. Add the key in Neo

**1. Open Integrations**

In the Neo Dashboard, open **Integrations** and find the Call Harbor card, under Communication.

**2. Save the key**

Paste the API key and click **Save settings**. Neo checks it against Call Harbor before saving, so a wrong or revoked key is rejected straight away.

## 3. Turn Call Harbor on per agent or dashboard

A dashboard asks for its own read-only groups when the Neo Support Agent builds it; you do nothing more. For an agent, open it, go to the Integrations section, and pick an access profile for the Call Harbor block, or set each area yourself:

| Area | Access levels you can pick | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Call History and Statistics** | Disabled, Read Only | Call records and counts, queue and agent statistics. Turn on for reports and phone tickets. |
| **Call Recordings and Transcriptions** | Disabled, Read Only | Recordings and transcripts. |
| **Live Calls** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Active calls and call control. |
| **Call Queues and Agents** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Queues, agents, signing agents in and out. |
| **Users and Contacts** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Users (extensions), contacts, presence. |
| **Devices and Phones** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Devices, phones and their registration. |
| **Phone Numbers and Call Routing** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Numbers, answer rules, auto attendants, time frames, blocked numbers. |
| **Voicemail, Greetings and Hold Music** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Voicemail, greetings, hold music. |
| **SMS and Chat** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | SMS numbers and conversations. |
| **Meetings and Conferences** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Meetings and conference bridges. |
| **Domains, Sites and Emergency Addresses** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Client domains, sites, E911 addresses. |
| **Platform Administration** | Disabled, Read Only, Read / Write | Reseller settings, event subscriptions, audit log. |

A read-only key refuses every change, whatever the profile says. See [Call Harbor API](/agents/tools/communication/call-harbor-api) for the profiles and what the agent can read and change.
