# Smart Pricing Table API

> Read and build Smart Pricing Table proposals: templates, pages, pricing groups, line items, add-ons, side-by-side packages and the library

The common use is a sales agent on Smart Pricing Table: it creates a proposal from your template for the client, adds the pricing groups, line items, add-ons and packages from your library, writes the scope pages, changes prices when asked, and answers questions about what a proposal holds.

## What It Does

* Read proposals and templates with their client, status, totals, pages and pricing, their JSON export and viewing analytics
* Create a proposal from a template or blank, and update, copy, star, archive and delete proposals
* Read, create, update, order, copy, archive and delete pages, pricing groups, line items, modifications (add-ons, options, discounts) and side-by-side packages
* Read the line item library, add library entries to a proposal, and create and update library entries
* Email a finished proposal to the client

## Permission Groups

## Safety Controls

| Control | Behavior |

| **No field lost on a whole-list update** | When the agent saves a line item's whole list of add-ons, Neo keeps each field it left out of an add-on, and keeps the custom fields it left out of a line item update |
| **Status changes are sending** | A proposal update that sets its status needs the Sending & Status group |
| **Only documented calls** | Neo sends only the calls in Smart Pricing Table's published API, and refuses any other write. It never asks for the PDF, which it cannot read |
| **The key's own user** | Neo acts as the user who made the API key, so Smart Pricing Table refuses what that user's role may not do, and any edit to a proposal pending signature, won or lost |
