# Kaseya Quote Manager API

> Read quotes, sales orders and purchase orders from Kaseya Quote Manager so an agent can answer where an order stands

The Kaseya Quote Manager API tool gives Neo agents read access to Kaseya Quote Manager (formerly Datto Commerce). The common use is a question like "where is the order for quote QO10001?": the agent follows the quote to its sales order and to the purchase orders behind it, and reports the status of each.

<Info>
Automatically enabled when you configure Kaseya Quote Manager permissions in your agent workflow.

## What It Does

* Find a quote by its number and read its status, expiry date, sections and lines
* Read the quote's linked Autotask opportunity, company and quote ids. Kaseya Quote Manager's published API documents Autotask link fields and no ConnectWise link
* Follow a won quote to its sales order: status, fulfilment, lines and payments
* Find the purchase orders behind a sales order: supplier, status, items received and serial numbers
* Look up customers, their contacts and addresses
* Read the product catalog with prices, and each supplier's stock and cost

The Kaseya Quote Manager API is read-only. Neo cannot create, send or change a quote, sales order or purchase order in Kaseya Quote Manager; a person does that in Kaseya Quote Manager.

## Quotes and Autotask

* Ask about a quote or an Autotask opportunity. The agent links them and answers in one view: the quote, its sales order and purchase orders, and the Autotask company, opportunity, projects, contracts and tickets.
* Ask the agent to price an upgrade for an opportunity. It finds each item in your Kaseya Quote Manager catalog and writes a draft to the Autotask opportunity: a note, or a to-do for the opportunity owner if your instructions ask for a task. To make the quote, open the opportunity, start a new Kaseya Quote Manager quote and add the listed items.
* The draft is an Autotask write. Set the agent's Autotask **Opportunities** group to Read Only, and **Companies** (notes) or **Company To-Dos** (to-dos) to Read/Write; its approval setting applies. For notes, also set **Admin** to Read Only, so the agent can read your note types.

## Permission Groups

| Group | Access levels | Covers |
| - | - | - |
| Quotes and Orders | Disabled, Read Only | Quotes with sections and lines, sales orders with lines and payments, purchase orders with lines, serial numbers and costs, and your employees. Quotes carry your private notes |
| Customers and Contacts | Disabled, Read Only | Customers, contacts and addresses. Holds personal data: names, emails, phone numbers and addresses |
| Catalog and Suppliers | Disabled, Read Only | Products, prices, brands, categories, supplier stock and cost, suppliers and warehouses. Shows your supplier cost |

Every group is read only, because the Kaseya Quote Manager API has no write. Turn off Catalog and Suppliers on an agent that writes text your customers read, so it never sees your cost.
