# GlassHive API

> Build GlassHive campaign lists from your PSA or another system, keep contacts and companies current, draft campaign copy for your marketer, and read campaign results

The common use is a campaign: an agent builds the list from companies and contacts it reads in your PSA or another system, writes the email and landing page copy from a source you name, and gives it to your marketer as a GlassHive task to build in Design Studio.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Automatically enabled when you configure GlassHive permissions in your agent workflow, or on a dashboard.

## What It Does

* Create a list from companies and their contacts in one upload, and add more to it; GlassHive updates a company that matches by phone, website or name, and a contact that matches by email
* Find, create, update and delete companies and contacts, and add or remove a contact from lists
* Draft campaign and landing page copy, and assign it to a GlassHive user as a task
* Read and update opportunities, their line items, and your solutions
* Log calls, emails, notes and meetings on a contact; create, update and close tasks
* Read campaign results, marketing collateral and form submissions
* Read your GlassHive users

## Permission Groups

| Group | Covers |
| - | - |
| Companies | Name, contact details, address, website, social links, description, employee and device counts, account and contract dates, score and custom fields |
| Contacts | Name, title, email, phones, address, social links, company, status, lead score, sales person, whether they are subscribed or bounced, and custom fields; also the contacts of a list |
| Lists | Lists and which contacts are on them. A list upload also creates or updates the companies and contacts it carries, so it needs Companies and Contacts at Read / Write too |
| Opportunities & Solutions | Opportunities with their line items, value, close date, status and owner; solutions with their price and cost |
| Activities & Tasks | Calls, emails, notes and meetings on a contact, the email events GlassHive records (opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes), and tasks |
| Campaigns, Collateral & Form Submissions | Campaigns with their subject lines, sender, send date and results; marketing files; form submissions. Read only |
| Users & Account | Your GlassHive account and users, with their sales quotas |

A contact create or update that adds the contact to lists also needs Lists at Read / Write.

## Access Profiles

| Profile | What runs on its own | What asks a technician |
| - | - | - |
| **Read Only** | Every read | No write is allowed |
| **Helpdesk** | Every read; writes to Companies, Contacts, Lists, and Activities & Tasks | Writes to Opportunities & Solutions and Users & Account |
| **IT Admin** | Every read and write | The writes in Safety Controls |
| **Full Automation** | Every read and write | The writes in Safety Controls |

## Safety Controls

| Control | Behavior |
| - | - |
| **Deleting a company** | Always asks a technician: a company is one of your customers or prospects |
| **Subscribed and bounced** | A write that sets whether a contact is subscribed or bounced, in a contact or a list upload, always asks a technician: it decides whether GlassHive emails that person |
| **No nulls in a list upload** | GlassHive overwrites a matching company's or contact's field with every empty value an upload sends, so Neo refuses an upload that sends one |
| **Upload size** | Neo refuses an upload of more than 100 companies or 100 contacts, GlassHive's limit; the agent splits a longer list |
| **Only published calls** | Neo sends only the writes in GlassHive's Partner API reference, and refuses any other |
