# WorkTime API

> Report each technician's time online and productive time from WorkTime, rank the team in a league table, and manage departments, time off and holiday sets

The common use is a weekly report: a scheduled agent reads each technician's time online from WorkTime for the week, ranks the team, and posts the league table where your team reads it.

## What It Does

* Read each employee's active time for any period, for the whole team or one technician
* Read active, idle, productive, unproductive and undefined time per employee and day, filtered by employee or department
* Rank the technicians by time online or productive time, with their days off in the period
* Point out days with long active time and almost no idle time, for a person to check in WorkTime
* Read employees and departments; move an employee to another department, and create, change or delete departments
* Read, record, change and delete time off, and manage holiday sets

## Permission Groups

| Group | Covers |

| Active & Productive Time | Active time per employee for a period, and active, idle, productive, unproductive and undefined time per employee and day, with each employee's name and department. Read only |
| Employees | Employees: name, login name, position, email, phone, messenger, salary, department, shift, report setting and employee id; change an employee's department, report setting or employee id, or delete an employee |
| Departments | Departments with their manager, productivity set, goal and holiday set; create, change and delete them |
| Time Off | Time off records with the employee, type, half-day type, dates and comment, and the time off types; create, change and delete them |
| Holiday Sets | Holiday sets with their holidays and how many departments and employees use each; create, change, delete and reassign them |

## Access Profiles

## Safety Controls

| Control | Behavior |

| **Reads stay reads** | The daily time export is sent as a POST, and Neo treats it as a read: it needs only read access and never asks for approval |
| **Refused calls** | Neo does not call WorkTime's undocumented `widget` endpoint; the documented export gives the same time per employee and day |
