# Ninety API

> Read and update your EOS in Ninety: To-Dos, Issues, Rocks and Milestones, the weekly Scorecard, Headlines and Meetings, joined to your PSA

The common use is a scheduled agent that keeps Ninety in step with the work in your PSA: it completes a To-Do when the ticket it tracks closes, raises an Issue for a problem that keeps coming back in tickets, opens a PSA ticket or project for an Issue or a Rock, and fills in the week's Scorecard from numbers it counts in the PSA.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Automatically enabled when you configure Ninety permissions in your agent workflow, or on a dashboard.

## What It Does

* Read your Teams, users, the Accountability Chart and each Team's V/TO
* Read, create, update, complete, comment on and delete To-Dos and Issues
* Read, create and update Rocks and their Milestones, and change a Rock's status
* Read each Team's Scorecard, and write scores, notes and a period's goal for its Measurables
* Read and create Headlines and Cascading Messages
* Read the next Meeting's agenda, and past Meetings with their notes and the items they worked
* Read the list of quarterly and annual Conversations
* Link To-Dos, Issues, Rocks and Milestones to each other

## Permission Groups

| Group | Covers |
| - | - |
| Teams & People | Teams, users with their email, role and Teams, the Accountability Chart's seats and holders, and each Team's V/TO. Read only |
| To-Dos | Team and personal To-Dos with their owner, due date, repeat, comments and links; create, update, complete, comment, link and delete |
| Issues | Issues with their owner, priority, short or long term, and comments; create, update, solve, comment, link and delete |
| Rocks & Milestones | Rocks with their owner, Teams, status, quarter, due date, comments, attachments and Milestones; create and update Rocks and Milestones, link them and delete a Rock |
| Scorecard | Measurables with their owner, goal, cadence and scores per period; write and delete scores, notes and a period's goal |
| Headlines | Headlines and Cascading Messages with their owner and description; create one |
| Meetings | The next Meeting with its agenda and attendees, and past Meetings with their ratings, notes and the Headlines, Issues, To-Dos and Rocks they worked. Read only |
| Conversations | The quarterly and annual Conversations between managers and their direct reports: who, when and whether done. Read only |

## Access Profiles

| Profile | What runs on its own | What asks a technician |
| - | - | - |
| **Read Only** | Every read but Conversations | No write is allowed |
| **Helpdesk** | Every read but Conversations | Every write |
| **IT Admin** | Every read and every write | Nothing |
| **Full Automation** | Every read and every write | Nothing |

## Safety Controls

| Control | Behavior |
| - | - |
| **Links need both sides** | A link joins two items, so it needs Read / Write on the groups of both, and asks for approval when either group does. Removing a link needs every group it could reach |
| **Only documented calls** | Neo sends only the calls in Ninety's published API, and refuses any other write |
| **The token's own role** | The token acts as the Ninety user who made it, so Ninety refuses what that user's role may not do |
