# Axcient API

> Check Axcient backup alerts against each job's runs and AutoVerify tests, read restore points and storage, report backups across clients, and read x360Cloud, x360Sync and billing

The common use is a backup alert ticket Axcient sent to your PSA: the agent finds the protected system, reads its backup job's runs (success or failure, the error, the bytes backed up) and its last AutoVerify boot test, and notes on the ticket whether the backup is good. A scheduled agent can do the same for every client and send a daily backup report.

<Info>
  Automatically enabled when you configure Axcient permissions in your agent workflow.
</Info>

## What It Does

* List x360Recover clients with their health, and each client's protected devices with each job's health and latest restore points
* Read a job's runs, filtered by status and start time: `COMPLETED` or `FAILED`, the error, the bytes backed up and the protected system's size
* Read AutoVerify results: boot, heartbeat, disk check, VSS, and the screenshot
* List restore points by vault, and which ones are mounted now for a restore or a virtualization
* Read appliances, vaults, storage use per device and per client
* Read and set a vault's connectivity threshold
* Read x360Cloud client organizations, their Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace backup status reports, users and shared sites
* Read x360Sync users, groups, guests, machines, folders, activity, usage and share links
* Read your actual and billable usage

## Permission Groups

| Group | Covers |
| - | - |
| x360Recover Backups | Clients, protected devices, backup jobs and their runs, AutoVerify tests, restore points, appliances, vaults and storage use (read only) |
| Vault Connectivity Thresholds | Each vault's connectivity threshold: reading it and setting it |
| Organization and Portal Users | Your partner organization and its x360Portal users (read only) |
| x360Cloud Backups | Client organizations, backup status reports, users and shared resources (read only) |
| x360Sync Files | Organizations, users, groups, guests, machines, folders, activity and usage (read only) |
| x360Sync Share Links | Share links, without their addresses (read only) |
| Billing Usage | Actual and billable usage (read only) |

## Access Profiles

| Profile | What runs on its own | What asks a technician |
| - | - | - |
| **Read Only** | Every read | No write is allowed |
| **Helpdesk** | Every read except billing | A vault threshold change |
| **IT Admin** | Every read | A vault threshold change |
| **Full Automation** | Every read and write | Nothing |

## Safety Controls

| Control | Behavior |
| - | - |
| **Writes** | The one write Neo sends is a vault's connectivity threshold. Every other write is refused |
| **D2C enrollment tokens** | Neo does not create the token that enrolls a new direct-to-cloud agent. A technician makes one in the x360Portal |
| **Ticket scope** | On a ticket, the agent reaches only the x360Recover client mapped to the ticket's company, by a name match or one you confirmed. A call that names a device goes out only after Axcient's own record shows the device belongs to that client. Estate-wide lists, vaults, x360Cloud, x360Sync and billing are for runs with no ticket company, such as a scheduled report or a chat |
| **Share links** | Neo hides each x360Sync share link's address, which opens the shared files for anyone who holds it |
